ECOPICK is a robot based on artificial intelligence (AI) that recognizes and classifies a wide variety of objects on a conveyor belt, replacing the tasks usually performed by a manual picker.

Its classification tasks consist in the realization of quality control of materials or the automated extraction of valuable materials contained in the flow of "rejects" driven to the cabin through a conveyor belt.

The four main components of the PICVISA’s robot are:

Composed of a high-resolution RGB linear camera, which integrates artificial intelligence algorithms (deep learning) by means of which it recognizes the objects to be separated. Also, optionally, it can use near infrared vision (NIR) 

Robotic arm type "Delta" (also known as "Spider" type) with three degrees of freedom of movement (length, width and height) attached at the top, contained in a closed envelope, and installed in sequence with the scanner of artificial vision. The robot module also includes the automaton and a user-machine interface screen. The collection of objects is carried out in a pneumatic manner (air aspiration by a suction cup), which are released in one or more peripheral hoppers.

External cabinet to be disposed in a suitable space. In this cabinet, the touch screen is housed with the user interface for managing and controlling the ECOPICK system.

Adaptable and adjustable metal base (not included in the PICVISA’s supply). It will be studied case by case.

The complementary elements of the ECOPICK robot correspond to material discharge, electrical installation and communication hoppers, secondary structures of lower support (booth reinforcements, beams and external pillars), secondary structures of upper support (fixing beams for mounting and maintenance, polyplast), additional support means, access, barriers and elements of hygiene and safety and health.

In general, the ECOPICK robot module provided by PICVISA has a generic design that covers 1.1 m or 1.6 m action diameters with different robotic arms. The choice of one model or another is made in order to have enough capacity to act on both the half of the tape provided and on the entire tape width.
